    Cookies

    This Website uses cookies to make its services as efficient and user-friendly as possible.

    What are cookies?

    Cookies are small text files that the website sends to the visitor's terminal (generally the browser), where they are stored to be re-sent to the website at the next visit. Cookies cannot access any other data on the User's hard disk, nor transmit computer viruses. Every cookie is unique for the User's web browser. Some cookie functions can also be performed by other technologies. Cookies are used to improve the User's overall navigation experience. Specifically:

    • They allow more efficient navigation between the website's pages;
    • They save the username and preferences entered;
    • They allow users to avoid having to enter the same data (e.g. username and password) more than once during a visit;
    • They measure Users' utilisation of services, to optimise the navigation experience and the services themselves;
    • They display targeted advertising on the basis of the User's interests and behaviour as expressed during navigation.

    There are various types of cookies. Below, we list the types of cookies which may be used on the website, with a description of the purpose for which they are used.

    Technical cookies

    Cookies of this type are necessary for the correct operation of some areas of the site. Cookies in this category include both persistent and session cookies. Without these cookies, the website or some parts of it might not function correctly. They are therefore always used, regardless of the user's preferences. Cookies in this category are always sent by our domain.

    Analytical cookies

    Cookies of this type are used to collect information about the use of the website. The Data Controller uses this information for statistical purposes, to improve the website and simplify its use, and also to monitor its correct operation. Cookies of this type collect information in anonymous form about users' activity on the website, how they reached the website and the pages visited. Cookies in this category are sent by the website itself or by third-party domains.

    Third-party data acquisition cookies

    Cookies of this type are used to collect information about visitors' use of the website, the keywords used to reach the site, the websites visited and visitor traffic origins for marketing campaigns. The Data Controller may use these data to compile reports and improve the website. Cookies collect data in anonymous form. Cookies of this type are sent by the website itself or by third-party domains.

    Cookies for integration of third-party functions

    Cookies of this type are used to integrate third-party functions in the website (e.g. comment forms or social network icons allowing visitors to share the site's contents). Cookies in this category may be sent by the domains of partner sites, or sites which offer the functions included on the site.

    The Data Controller is not required to request users' consent for technical cookies, since they are strictly necessary for the provision of the service.

    For other types of cookies, Users may express their consent, in accordance with the relevant legislation, by means of specific browser, IT program or device settings easily and clearly usable for the User. The Data Controller reminds Users that their cookie preferences can be changed at any time. Cookies can also be disabled from the browser at any time, but this may prevent Users from using some parts of the Site.

    Third-Party Websites

    The Gimatic website contains links to other websites which have their own privacy policy statements. These privacy policy statements may be different from the one adopted by the Data Controller, who therefore does not accept responsibility for third-party websites.
